Buddy Class

Every second Friday afternoon we get to hang out with our big buddies. We are lucky to have 2 buddy classes at the moment. Mrs Connell's whanau class will be Ruma Torus buddy class and Mrs Handcock's whanau class will be Ruma Wha's. Last Friday afternoon we met to celebrate Chinese new year. We made Chinese lanterns and dragons. Mrs Handcock found a chinese dragon costume which the children wore. Check out our display in the foyer.

Day 2 Basketball

Miles came to teach us some more basketball skills. He showed us how to bounce the basketball. We could only use one hand at a time. We needed to practise swapping hands while still bouncing the basketball. We bounced the ball to a buddy. Bouncing the ball in basketball is called dribbling.

We were very lucky with the weather to be able to have our swimming carnival last week. TKW and TKP showed off their swimming skills to their parents and whanau. Thank you for coming to share our special day with us.
