We were lucky to have Tim and Harold here from the Life Education Trust come to Hokowhitu School to talk to us about being a good friend and being resilient. Being resilient mens to bounce back after disappointment. We were also taught about our special our bodies are and that there is nobody else like ourselves.

Day 2 Basketball

Miles came to teach us some more basketball skills. He showed us how to bounce the basketball. We could only use one hand at a time. We needed to practise swapping hands while still bouncing the basketball. We bounced the ball to a buddy. Bouncing the ball in basketball is called dribbling.

Hokowhitu Kindergarten visits

We have had the pleasure of visiting Hokowhitu Kindergarten. We were all amazed at the wonderful learning environment they have at their kindy. We especially playing in their home corner, exploring the musical instruments and in the very cool boat outside. We then repaid the kindy for their kindness by inviting them back to our school. We had fun creating artworks together, exploring the playground and playing with our toys in the classroom.
